My special interests are the Classical world, Romania and the North of England. I also write books and articles about historic buildings and the people who lived in them and about journeys into the past.
As well as writing, lecturing and book reviewing, I also love devising cultural journeys, and run creative workshops on Classical themes for all ages. You can read more about my ongoing Voices on the Wall project, most recently working with the Romanian diaspora in the North West here.
